Well, what a day! With the exception of Kate who decided at 2.00am that sleep wasn't an option until 5.00 am, the rest of us had a great sleep and sleeping. We showered and headed out to explore our new home. Breakfast was found at " The Prime Burger diner just off Madison on 6th Street. Apparently visited by Sarah Jessica Parker when doing Sex in the City. Food was interesting but the diner was amazing! Lots of old negro men in suits serving us at our booth that was 6 seats with little swivel trays to put across for food to go on. Kate ordered fruit salad and to her dismay found grapefruit, grapefruit and more grapefruit with the odd rockmelon, apple and pineapple . Lucky for her I ordered the mushroom omelette which had at least 6 eggs in it so she and I shared and still left some but yummy! The boys had bacon & eggs!
From here we headed off for Walmart to pickup cheap phones, groceries etc but were thwarted by good old NY cabs. I forgot they run NY. Refused to go cos it was in NJ and too far ( 15 mins) so he drove us to Manhattan Mall instead! There we found Jack's sporting shop in search of his Bryant Dallas Cowboys jersey... Not there!!! Oops!! So off to JCPenneys where I found a beautiful pink coat on sale from $225 down t $70! Love a bargain! A quick trip into Maceys before heading off to Times Square to visit the other Modells where Jack came out sporting his Des Bryant jersey and Adrian. Green Bay Oackers one! Not to mention a NFL football as well!
A vist to Oiys'R'Us and a ride on their carousel, a visit to Ripley's Believe it or not, phones from AT & T with unlimited texts free here or Aust and unlimited phone calls in US for 4 weeks for $70, dinner at Famous Dan's Steakhouse exhausted our day. Lots of photos taken ... None uploaded cos USB hub not playing the game :(
