The sites we got at the Mallacoota Foreshore Campgrounds were right on the waters edge and we had our own mooring for the boat and right near the boat ramp. Clive arrived with the boat, so after setting up the boat was put in the water and we went fishing.......Only one flathead was caught....
The next day the weather was windy and rain but after lunch we decided to launch the boat around near Bucklands Boat Shed so we could fish in "The Narrows" and was protected from a lot of the wind......caught a couple of throw backs......At the end of our fishing we came across a boat that was broken down, so lucky for the guy we had a spare battery in our boat and he was returning to the same boat ramp......
The following day we woke to a lovely sunny day, so back in the boat and out fishing again.....As we were going past the boat ramp we saw the Maritime Boat being launched and we all thought that we had now problems, as we have got on our lifejackets, new flares etc etc..... The maritime officers found us later fishing and went through all the safety stuff.....got the all clear......only to find out that the boat rego had been cancelled back in June 2015.......b*****.....Anyhow we spent a couple more hours fishing when Clive caught a trevally......the wind had picked up and it was rough heading back into Mallacotta.......and the unregistered boat was pulled out of the water, as we are leaving tomorrow.....
As we arrived back at camp we saw that Margie and Paul had set up camp beside us.........Happy hour lead to them joining us for dinner as we had heaps of whiting and calamari for dinner......Thanks to Clive bringing it up with him......And yes a few drinks were had around the campfire......
The next day we said our goodbyes to Margie and Paul before heading onto Orbost......We went into the Library to get the Vic Road paperwork printed up and the library were agents for Vic Roads, so after filling out the paperwork, Alan went back and got the boat registered again......problem solved....
After lunch we went into Marlo to have a look around before setting up camp beside the Snowy River....The rest of the day was spent enjoying the sunshine by the river fishing......
The following days were booked into the Nowa Nowa Caravan Park, put the boat in and went off fishing....The caravan park grounds were very wet underfoot and we had even more rain....Its going to be interesting getting our of here....
Alan and Clive went out fishing early in the morning and got one keeper...which eventually got thrown back in...Grand final day and we are in a park that had no TV reception and couldn't get the footy on the radio.....We finally worked out that we could listen to it via our AFL app on the phones........
We got lovely news that Alan's grandson, Lucas Alan Puddy was born today..... Saturday 1st of October.......
Alan & Clive went out fishing again but again with no success.. DABUS was great in getting out of a very muddy situation......And we move onto a free camp right on the waters edge on about 200m from the caravan park.....Clive caught himself a eel in the dark.....
Clive moved on this morning, heading home early..We went onto Lakes Enterance and spent the afternoon fishing the Tambo River with one great bite, but he got off.....
We are now heading over to spend the night with Liz and Paul......

Bob Martin Not much to hurry home for. It is bloody freezing, raining, blowing a gale and not very pleasant. You are probably experiencing the same weather pattern there as we are but cause you are nearer the mountains I guess that it is very cold at night. Look forward to seeing you both on your return. Safe remainder of the trip.
