Surrounding us after leaving Georgetown was massive open paddocks of wheat, we had been driving though wheat country now for a couple of days. The houses in the small rural towns we would pass were all so old and lovely. It was 37 degress, so we pulled in early to the Hamley Bridge Football Grounds and enjoyed a couple of drinks for the afternoon.
On Friday morning we drove into Clare and caught up with some washing, bought some meat from the local butcher before heading out to one of the lookouts.
We left Clare after lunch, driving through Balaklava and Feeling, which one of us we excited, as Feeling is the town where McLeod's Daughters was filmed.
We both think the Barossa Valley is much nicer than the Clare Valley. Our stop for the night was in a carpark near the old Augaston railway station.
