Hiking this morning in the mountains just out of Trinidad. After crossing the creek (Virginia and everyone else on the suspension bridge - Alan using sticks across the rocks) the walk was through lush green tropical growth and we saw lots of different birds, geckos, (a snake!) and cattle. Ended at a waterfall and cave where Virginia and 2 others went for a swim. Overall 2.5 hours in beautiful, serene landscape with nothing but the sound of birds and the running stream.
Local shop (hole in the wall) pizzas for lunch and we ate them on a bench in Parque Cespedes - excellent pizzas and $1.50 each!
Afternoon on the beach at Playa Ancon (white sand and bright blue water again!) drinking, sleeping, talking and swimming - very relaxing after the hike.
Dinner tonight at a nearby Palladar (family run as against state run restaurant) - lobster again! - then music, cabaret show and Mojitos on the steps of the Casa de la Musica
