Yesterday was a full day at sea as we sailed back from Grenada (the southernmost island we visit) to St Thomas USVI back close to Puerto Rico. The "croozies" were right into it with games, photos being taken, hammering the buffet, bingo etc etc. we thought we would be a bit bored but managed to occupy ourselves well with a sleep in, reading in one of the lounges, a galley tour and cooking demo as well as a visit to parts of the ship we hadn't seen. Woke up this morning in St Croix one of the US Virgin Islands. Off the ship into Frederiksted which was a bit of a dump (apparently the money is being spent on other islands and the cruise ships are abandoning St Croix so the situation is bit grim for the locals) Taxi to Christiansted on the other side of the islands to join Big Beards catermeran cruise to Buck Island a national US heritage site because of its beach and coral reef. A lazy morning around the hotel this morning and then onto the Celebrity Summit early afternoon. A few drinks and then our room was ready. Arranged Internet (have a look at the photo to see how the "average" high tech traveller sets up their cabin) and then a pomegranate martini at the Crush Vodka Bar before dinner.
