Last official tour day today - it has been amazing and the company Cuban Adventures and guide Ossie have been excellent in every way - and that is saying something from us who avoid group tours like the plague!
We went on a walking tour of the old city this morning and covered the parts we did not see when we were here before the trip - the oldest section from the waterfront with traffic free cobblestone streets, spacious squares surrounded by beautiful old buildings which have been restored with the help of UNESCO $ since the old city was listed as world heritage in 1982. Lots of narrow streets with bars, cafes, shops etc all with great character
Back at the Hotel Nacional for lunch, Internet time and a rest before final group dinner with Ossie and his family tonight. A special and emotional night for us and Ossie. His wife and daughters are beautiful and were so pleased to have been asked to come to dinner. Final photos and farewells with Ossie. Also goodbyes to Martia & PJ who fly home to LA / Santa Barbara tomorrow.
