Quiet morning packing for flight to Havana. Alan a bit better so drugs must be kicking in at last. Went to Internet and rang Josh and got through at last. Alan had a haircut - most thorough ever including facial massage. Tiny airport and propellor plane but holds about 60 so ok flight. Ossie gave us the "lecture" about no sharp objects in hand luggage and proceeded to go in with a set of steak knives in his and had to quickly zip out and get them into his checked luggage (the benefit of a tiny airport)
Good flight and cooler (thank god) and a bit of rain in Havana. It is good to be back in the Hotel Nacional with a bit of space and large comfy beds. We loved the experience of staying in the Casas but after 1.5 weeks in the heat and humidity we need a bit of comfort (we know - soft Aussies!). Quiet night tonight catching up on news via the "luxury" of tv and an early Italian meal at the place we found last time. It has taken V 5 minutes to get the lid off the baby bubbly in the mini bar (no wine or champers for 12 days remember only beer and mojitos)
Old town tour tomorrow morning and final dinner tomorrow night - we invited Ossie to bring his wife and 2 daughters and they are coming - will be great to meet them
