Second last day in Rome we spent visiting the castle sant Angelo. It has many purposes throughout history, first starting as a tomb to the imperial families, than it housed the popes apartments,it's final purpose was a military barracks and prison. Saw the famous Passetto which was an emergency passage way from the Vatican the the castle for the pope. The view from the top of the castle was amazing.

Then it was off to Piazza Navona , my favorite center! Got a good few during the daytime. I was also able to try the famous black truffle gelato which was WOW !!! Basically chocolate heaven ...

Went back to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps. It's tricky finding a white rose. In the end got a white, red and pink one :), I felt special.

Spent the rest of the day buying some souvenirs which we plan to mail out on our last day
