We had decided to stay at Rainbow beach for a couple of days before heading off to Hervey bay where all 3 of us are going to Fraser Island, we aren't doing it together though but Im sure the girls needs a break from me! ha ha

There really isn't anything in Rainbow at all and it was quite nice to come here as the beach is gorgeous and it has the most relaxed atmosphere. The hostel also has a pool which is so nice as it has been really hot lately. In the evening we went with our two roomies to the hostel bar, they were going to Fraser the next day which was a shame cos they were nice boys and we had a real laugh with them.

Yesterday Morning (Tuesday) we got up early to get a boat to Tin Can Bay to feed a wild dolphin. We climbed aboad a really old boat and the girls told me about their horrendous experience on a boat in Thailand, just what I wanted to hear! ha ha. We arrived in Tin Can Bay and we literally just had to wait there until he/she decided to swim up. Apparently they have been feedling this particular Dolphin for years and most of the time he turns up but sometimes he doesnt....knowing my luck I thought he wont turn up today! about 20 mins after arriving up pops this dolphin. We all had to line up and get a fish to feed him. We stood knee deep in the water and fed him, it was pretty cool but it was sad to see that he had been attacked by a shark a little while ago and was a bit scraped and battered....not like the ones you see in Sea World! After feeding the dolphin it was back on the boat, we were back at the hostel but about 10 so we had breakfast and chilled out bythe pool for the rest of the day. In the evening we had a few new roomies so saw them in the bar.

Today, (Weds) I am sitting here waiting for the bus to Hervey Bay which is due to get here at 4pm so i thought it'd be a good idea to catch up on my blog and yes i am uploading pictures as we speak! I am really excited about going to Fraser island tomorrow and cross my fingers that the weather is going to be nice as it was only a few weeks ago that the whole island was evacuated due to the cyclone. When i was in Sydney I booked this trip and am doing it to poncey way, staying at the lodge and its all catered for so i dont have to worry about a thing which I am so happy about as I cnanot be arsed to go to another flippin supermarket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grr!
