Today we once again used the city bus to return to the center of Dunedin. I have to mention how polite everyone is on the bus. First, the bus drivers are very helpful and offer to give directions. Dunedin is Bob's favorite city in NZ. It is similar to San Francisco as it is a charming seaside city on steep hillsides; it even has the world’s steepest street, which I thought was in SF. We stopped by Tea Pot Land before we left Owaka. Someone really loves tea pots! We looked for one like Patty's, but couldn't find it there.We then drove to the lighthouse at Nugget Point. Today we toured Dunedin. Since we are staying an extra night at this campground, we took a taxi to the town centre and did a lot of walking from there. Our campground in Oamaru adjoined the city botanical garden. Our tour guide last night said it was one of NZ’s best gardens, so we took a walk through it this morning. We were very glad we did, because it really is a special place.
