A cold shower is never the way to start a day but unfortunately I had no choice. It woke me up for sure, and I was in and out quicker than ever. After we all got dressed and enjoyed breakfast! It was really nice to be camping, and extra nice to camp without the bad weather!
We got in the van and went to a part of the forest which had sequoia trees in it! These are the biggest trees on the planet! They are so wide it's unreal, photos just don't do them justice. We would walk along a path until we found one of these 3,000 year old tree and just be staring at it in amazement. We even found one that had died and fallen, and we squeezed ourselves all the way along inside it and out of a hole the other end!
On our way deeper into the national park we passed through a long tunnel and coming out the other end gave me one of the best views I've ever seen! It looked so prehistoric! I could imagine some trees moving and a something from Jurassic Park coming out! It was brilliant!
The drive continued for a while longer through more beautiful roads and we visited a number of different view points! My favourite was where we had lunch, it's called glacier point because you can see the whole valley the glacier was once in and we had a beautiful view of the famous Half Dome!
We then had a really long drive back to the campsite where we played frisbee before starting food early! We ate well and then me and Andy had the manly job of chopping wood which worked much better than the night before!
