We have just spent 3 days on a yacht seeing the Whitsunday Islands. It was fantastic, the weather was hot and the places we went to were beautiful. We went to a few snorkelling spots and saw loads of fish and coral. At the best spot we got to swim with a Giant Wrasse (about 4 feet long), a Giant Trevally and lots of Batfish. The captain of the boat caught one of the Batfish with his bare hands. We also went to some beaches including Whitehaven Beach which is one of the top 10 beaches in the world.

We had a group with Italians, Germans, Polish, French, Swiss and Swedish so the conversation didn't exactly flow freely. We had to have 2 minute showers and we both ended up with sore heads from banging them on various parts of the boat. The captain and deckhand were really good and the food they prepared was brilliant.

We met up with the guys from our Fraser Island trip last night and we spent the day round the lagoon with them today. We are meeting them again tonight and then driving up to Townsville together tomorrow to go to Magnetic Island.
