We left Brisbane on Thursday and are now in Mooloolaba. Before we left Brisbane we went round to Tom's girlfriends house for a meal. It was reaaly nice to have home cooked food and be able to sit and relax rather than having to fight for a hob in the backpacker kitchens.

We are in a cabin now on a campsite and it is great to have our own space for a bit. There is a pool on the campsite as well and it is warm enough now to sunbathe. We went to the beach yesterday and had to dive through the waves to get out into the deeper water. Lou hated it at first but then enjoyed it after a bit. We tried bodysurfing but didn't get very far.

We also went to Australia Zoo (Steve Irwins zoo) the other day and that was good. We saw loads of native wildlife as well as elephants and lions. We have seen most of the native stuff in the wild already but it was nice to see the kangaroos. The croc show wasn't as good as we had been expecting. The croc they used was a new one and didn't perform, it wouldn't jump out of the water for the food but it did chase the guy around the enclosure.

Off to Noosa tomorrow and then Fraser Island in a couple of days for a self-drive 4WD safari.
