Camino 3
31km walk. However no accommodation in Montesquiou so staying in Marciac for 2 nights. A lot of hills today. I don't pass through many towns or villages on this trek, and therefore few place to buy food and drink. So when I got to a village called Barran I made the most of a supermarket. Water, cakes, fruit, chocolate and even an ice cream. They sustained memo the final push in to Montesquiou. I was hoping a bar would be open when I got here but everything was closed up. I met a young lady who was cycling this Chemin de Saint Jacques and had started in Switzerland! She has already conquered the Alps so the Pyrenees held no fear for her.
