Camino 3
My host drove me back to Montesquiou after breakfast so I began today's trek from there. The walking maps lead a bit to be desired at times and when the signs disappeared and the notes didn't make much sense I decided to head to Marciac on the main road for the final 7km. It was beginning to get warm and Tarmac is not the best surface on which to walk so a couple of beers on arrival were in order. Marciac is a nice little town with a huge square. Several restaurants and bars plus it seems plenty of jazz activity. Apparently the Marciac Jazz festival is a big thing. Looking forward to dinner again at the same place as last night before what should be a shorter 18km tomorrow - if the maps hold up!
