Today started off with a visit to the Smithsonian National Zoo. Everyone wanted to see the baby panda, Bao Bao. Next, people went to the otters that were all named after foods, except one that for some reason or another was named Kevin. They were all running around and swimming and playing and it was adorable. Today we started off by going to the Smithsonian. I chose to go to the Air and Space museum instead of natural history. It was the first time I had ever been to the Smithsonian and it was awesome. There were missiles on display and spaceships hanging from the ceiling and simulators of a dog fight situation and much more than I can even write. I have never seen anything so amazing. Today we started off by going to Arlington National cemetery. We walked to the tomb of the Unknown Soldier and saw the changing of the guard occur. This was the first time I had ever seen it. During the changing of the guard it is a custom to be quiet and respectful so we had to stand up and stay silent. Today we bussed from New York City to Philadelphia. When we got to the city the first thing we did was pose in front of the LOVE statue, a tradition for tourists and locals in Philadelphia. Next we went to Reading Terminal Market for lunch. At Reading there were many Amish stands and food places that sold things like food, candy, clothes, and books.
