Loveless Cafe
This cafe was just outside of Nashville. We heard about it first from Monie and Papa (Carrie's mom and dad) as they have been to Tennessee several times. It was a bit out our way as we were north and ready to head out of town and it was south but the 20 minute drive was worth it even towing the trailer! Their claim to fame is their biscuits. The recipe is still secret. The biscuits were small, maybe 2"x2", and buttery. Although they were good the homemade jams were what made them! I died and went to heaven when I bit into the blackberry jam however others in the fam preferred either the strawberry or the peach. I was going to get a jar of each but decided to not as I'm not willing to drop $50+ on jam when ours and my mom's jam is just as good!
Our meals included a traditional hamburger for Katherine (she's gotten one every time we've eaten out - in a rut much?! ; ) ), Rebecca, Emma, and I got their well known pulled pork sandwich with different sides including regular fries, hashbrown casserole (potatoes au gratin with hashbrown cut potatoes) and homemade cream corn that was to die for, Michael got a slab of their famous ham with his other breakfast items, but the coup de grace was Sarah's meal which was nothing but "southern"- fried catfish, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, with the side of biscuits! It was a great tasting meal. I'd recommend it if you are in Nashville! - Carrie
