An exciting day at the Kentucky State Capital! Possibly one of the most beautiful capitals we have yet to see on this trip as well as it is ranked the third most attractive capital in the U.S. This capital housed a fine collection of dolls modeling all of the First Ladies inauguration gowns. Another one of our favorite attractions was the dome of the capital; what made it so special was that the lights changed color! The doom was blue, then lavender, then pink, then green. All of the rest of the capitol was exquisite and quite breathtaking. It was a sad day though when we came to find out that our two favorite parts of each and every capital, the House of Representatives and the Senate we closed due to construction. However we were sneaky enough to capture a picture of the Senate strictly for the books! - Katherine
