We spent the whole day yesterday visiting possible flats to rent and to be honest we were very disappointed and concerned by the end of the day. We viewed four places and they were not very nice at all and were actually slightly more than what we wanted to pay so when we came home we continued searching online for more places to look at today. I found about 10 possibles which was hours of searching and we decided we would call in the morning to view another four today. We had a nice night in with Amber and ordered food in so it was relaxed and just what we felt like doing after the day we had.

Our first place to visit today was 5 minutes walk from Amber and Russell's place in Hammersmith and this was the description in the advertisement...

As soon as we walked in we both fell in love and knew that this was the perfect place for us. It was a little bit stressful and we felt a bit pressured to decide very quickly because aparently another couple were interested in it. As we walked back to Amber and Russell's we talked things through and after some deliberation we made the call to go for it. It is still more than we were hoping to pay but is just as much as the other places we visited and have seen online but is 100 times better. We are so happy because it is only 5 or so minutes walk to Hammersmith and Goldhawk Road Stations, close to shops and restaurants and we just love the area. It is also very cool to be so close to Amber and Russell! So we are moving in next Wednesday which is very exciting!

Tonight we are watching the Olympics Opening Ceremony at Amber and Russell's with the flatmates and have lots of nibbles and food to keep us going. There is a buzzing atmosphere here in London at the moment and we are lucky to be here to experience this.

Anyway I better concentrate on the television now! London Olympics is about to begin!
