Cam and De do Australia
Erosion from the rain has slowly carved the the beautiful landscape out of the rocks in Karijini, leaving so many stunning gorges and waterfalls to discover.
Our drive into the National park was stunning…. excited to know there were going to be lots of hikes and walks with many great sights to uncover. Unfortunately though the weather had other plans for us our first day, and we had rain. A day in drinking wine playing cards and eating Denese's home made chocolate brownies wasn't such a bad day after all. We had a great day and were very ready to get out of the caravans and see what was around the next day.
So we Climbed down into Dales Gorge to see Fortescue Falls and Circular Pool, and the hike in was well worth it. Feeling very small at the bottom of this big hole in the earth, you almost forgot how far in you were being distracted by its waterfalls and freezing cold pools. The worst thing is... what goes in must come out so we climb back out and head back for lunch before we make our way around to the other gorges in the park.
That evening was sadly our last one with Bob and Denise so we drove into the Eco Lodge retreat for our last dinner. And it was actually really good! So strange to find a really nice restraunt in the middle of a National Park, but it was a lovely way to finish off there visit with us. But Sadly morning came quickly and we had to say our goodbyes. :( It had been so nice to share a wine with them in the evening and have a chat but sadly it was back to just the two of us again:(
