Cam and De do Australia
Esperance was a small little town with just enough around to wander for an afternoon. The foreshore caravan park was nice but quite expensive at 39$ a night. The jetty is under construction so we avoided that area but we found great coffee at Coffee Cat and found a cafe called Olly's that had a great range of gluten free fare and beautiful salads, so refreshing after the Nullarbor where the only coffee you could get was from an automatic dispenser machine for 4 bucks. yuk!
After 2 nights we decided to head into Le Grand National Park and head to Lucky bay. With the whitest sand and bluest water it was a great stay for a couple of relaxing days. We were greeted everyday by little grey Kangaroo. They were not shy in the least, i swear if we had left the caravan door open they would have come in and helped themselves. I will never get sick of being around these beautiful animals. We also found an exact replica of Stone Henge not far out of Esperence. built exactly as it was in 1950BC. It was originally meant to be built in Margret river but the man who started it realised after the global financial crisis hit he could no longer afford to build it. So the quarry came to experience rotary club to see if there was anything they could do. When a couple that lived across from the quarry decided it was a great idea, and they would build it on they're property. So they did and it is literally in there backyard! Maybe 150 mitres from there house. Bet you they throw a pretty mean backyard BBQ! lol- comments
