Ok...didn't sleep at all on this one.
Emily did.
Great company she was... She slept 4 hours!
I gave up and finally watched The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
I'd read the books and knew the movie couldn't match them... But was ok.
Ate so much food on the plane.
I enjoyed the meals
And the Chunky Kit-Kats ... 3 of them.
In my defence, I'd like to say that we were a long time getting here.
And if Emily decides to go to sleep, she should guard her food better.
Landed bang on time.
Took a long time for the bags to come through
And then we rang for the Shuttle Bus... And had a 15 minute wait for that.
Bit of confusion though.
This is what happens when you travel with a young one.
I was looking for a small van with 'Parishuttle' on the side.
The one with me with the good eyesight saw a man with the 'Parishuttle' Logo on his shirt...
She's saying 'Parishuttle'
I'm saying... 'Where? Where?'
Going to be an interesting trip.
So we accost this Frenchman.
He says, 'Not yet...going to get a coffee...10 minutes'
At least that's what we thought he said.
So Emily shoots back into the airport to buy a coffee.
Off she disappears into the crowd.
And the small van pulls up with 'Parishuttle' on the side.
The driver hops out and says ...'Mrs. Arch?'
Oh oh.
So I head into the crowds inside... thinking this could be very messy.
Can't see her to the right.
Can't see her to the left.
Hmmmm.
I go back out to the van man ...
And Emily turns up saying...
'The McDonald's Menu is in French!'
Certainly entertained the lot in the bus.
(If she'd thought about it... she could have ordered French Fries....)
A couple from California in the shuttle bus.... They had just done a Rhine River Cruise.
And 2 ladies from Texas.
So long diving trip through Paris in peak hour Friday afternoon traffic.
Emily spotted the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, Place de la Concorde....
It was actually a great little mini tour.
Arrived at the Citadines Hotel.
Nice room with 2 single beds and a street view!
Thank you for the lovely note Amanda, Angela and Fulvia
And the lovely bottle of drinker (chilled!) and macaroons!
