On the bus to Tours and Bordeaux.
Beautiful sunny day. Mostly a travel day and then a dinner in the hotel in Bordeaux.
OK Some technical information for you.
(By the way, I am typing this my IPhone on the bus so it is taking me a while.... Small keypad and all.... So read slowly OK?)
We have 49 people on the bus.
2 young ones from the Phillipines...could be honeymooners... Yet to catch up with them. About 10 people joined the tour in Paris...so not up with them yet....
And also.... There has been no group introduction yet as Calvin said he was waiting til after the group joined in Paris... Bit of a mistake I think but I have moved around a lot and caught up with most. Won't take long to know the rest.
Ok...
2 from the Philipines
3 Canadians
About 15 New Zealanders
The rest Aussies
All different ages.... From late 20's to late 60's
Everyone's mixing really well.
Calvin the tour director is Sth African.
Spends half the year doing tours and half the year in Sth Africa doing the computer stuff for travel companies. He's 38 and lovely.
The driver is Sabri from Florence Italy. He may be 45. Strong and silent type so far.
Ok checked out the young couple from the Phillipines, Mark and Valerie.... Yes they are on their honeymoon.
Rob.....28 from Adelaide travelling alone.
He's lovely met him at the Ibis in London.
Also Fuad from Canada. Lovely man about 40...great sense of humour.
I am sitting with 3 girls from New Zealand.
Trish, Anne and Debbie.
Debbie married the other girls brother so they are sister-in-laws.... And we all get on like a house on fire. They would be in their 40s. Great fun.
EXCITING NEWS!!!!
We have just got our seat rotation...we all move 2 seats forward every day so....
That's why I am excited .... Because tomorrow I get to drive the bus!
You will not believe this.
The couple sitting behind me, Michelle and Brett, in their 40s... Have a caravan at Seaview Caravan Park in Cowes. They are in the opposite corner of the park to me. And we have chatted around the pool down there. (They thought I looked familiar but they definitely remembered Dash.)
Told you I am known as the 'Dog Lady' down there.
Stopped at Tours. Beautiful city. Had a lovely lunch with a group from the tour. We had about 2 hours free time to wander the town. Magnificent hanging gardens from overhead parking and a lovely car free Main Street and shopping area.
I bought a lovely necklace...all coloured buttons.
Then on to Bordeaux and a lovely motel.
Too far out of town to do any exploring .... Which is a plus really as we had a group dinner here... Lovely...and so loud... everyone talking to everyone....and it really allowed people to mix and get to know each other.
On to Biarritz tomorrow... Perhaps a swim in the Atlantic...27 degrees here today. Then into Pamplona for the night.
Beautiful motel room... Hope to send this on tonight but WiFi seems a bit iffy...
Love to everyone xxxxx
Well
It's tomorrow now. Beautiful nights sleep.
Nutella croissants for breakfast... Yummy.

Glad to hear all is well at home and the dogs will be so excited to see Emily!
Will send this off as soon as I am on the bus .
