After another chilly night camping in Rock Springs we set off for Yellowstone. As we drove the mountains got higher, the air got colder and the snow got deeper.
By the time we reached Jackson, Wyoming the prospects of even reaching Yellowstone were getting doubtful. So, we called in at the town's visitor centre to check on campground availability and, sure enough, found out that the whole park was closed to all traffic due to the weather and wasn't due to open until May!
With our options limited it was decided we would divert south-east to Dubois and camp there instead. Unfortunately the camp site there was also closed, despite the weather being much fairer, so we are staying the night in a sterotypical saloon/lodge in this very Western of cowboy towns.
There is enough pine in our room alone to build a boat!

Fainty Howdy the Noah cadets, has there been any gunfights or indians sighted today, It certainly looks warmer in the cabin than in a tent!!!
