Today we drove further into Louisiana to visit a Waterpark in Baton Rouge that promised a day of 'relaxed excitement' surging down various water slides and rollercoasters.

Unfortunately it seems the rather lengthy 'hibernation period' of the American Nation doesn't end until 21st May so the park was closed!!! So we spent the day driving instead to add time to more interesting spots later.

We crossed lots of swamps on a very impressive 'stilted' causeway that went on for many miles and in the end the rather hot day was saved by a refreshing dip in the camp site pool on the Gulf Coast of Pensecola, Florida. Off to the Naval Air Museum just up the road tomorrow so better sign off and go to recharge my suit's battery packs!
