Visited Star Command's secondary landing site today to check everything was in order. The weather was glorious and allowed for a full inspection. As you can see from my pictures my holographic welcome beacon was fully operational.

After a surprisingly comfortable night at the 'loggiest' of log cabins in Dubois we set off for the lengthy drive to Devil's Tower, Wyoming (aka Star Command's Secondary Landing Site). We passed over the Rockies through Ashley National Park to reach Rock Springs Wyoming by nightfall. It was a long, 630 mile drive from Lake Powell and we narrowly missed a snow storm on the mountain before descending into Rock Springs to camp the night. Today is a far shorter 250 miles or so to Yellowstone.

After another chilly night camping in Rock Springs we set off for Yellowstone. As we drove the mountains got higher, the air got colder and the snow got deeper. By the time we reached Jackson, Wyoming the prospects of even reaching Yellowstone were getting doubtful.
