The road to Rock Springs took us through Monument Valley. The road was VERY long and had it not been for the electro-cooling soles in my Ranger suit boots I would have been in real trouble!

Today we took a rather damp trip down the Colorado River in the stunning landscape of the Grand Canyon. The thirty five mile trip passed through seven sets of white water rapids and included a climb up into a waterfall cave and a helicopter ride from the end of the river ride back to the top of the Canyon. It was an extremely long day so it's another early night to recharge my suit's power packs before the drive to Powell Lake tomorrow. Hope you enjoy the phot...

Today, we crossed this rather impressive structure. Apparently its hydro-electric station, based at the foot of the dam wall in this picture, provides the entire electrical needs of the power-hungry city of Las Vegas a short distance away. A new by-pass bridge gave Cadet Mark the opportunity to catch this photo before we drove down to the dam itself for a closer look.
