After a comfortable night in an Abilene hotel, we crossed another of earth's time zones today and drove into Texas where we had another change of plan. Cadet Ashley found out about a particular cycle shop he was interested in inspecting so we diverted from our planned destination of Dallas and headed south for Austin instead.

Sure enough the shop was indeed bursting at the seams with various triathlon nick-nacks that got Cadet Ashley rather excited and Cadet Mark rather lighter in the wallet!

Still, the architecture was interesting enough! That evening we pushed on and spent a rather hot and humid night camping a little north of Houston before our intended visit there the following day.
