We woke up and got ourselves ready as we're going to Sydney zoo today. Ahmed and Raheela are picking us up at 11.00am so we were ready and had been to grab a sandwich for breakfast and waited. Ahmed had tried to call to say they'd be late because they were having to pick up a new blow up bed as the one with the hole had gone down at 5.30am. They picked us up at midday ish and then had to drive to pick the bed up which was from a house not far from our hostel. We then all set off for the zoo with David and Adi following in their car. We lost them along the way somewhere but Ahmed had wanted to stop anyway to get something to eat as they'd not had time yet so we quickly had a supermarket stop. We all met back up at the zoo, another couple who are friends with all of them and their little boy had arrived. We started off walking around together but soon the four of us split from the families with children. We went to see the seal show first which was really good. The zoo is a great zoo which is similar in a lot of ways to Singapore but the biggest difference is that it's high up and you get the views of the city with the opera house and the harbour bridge in the background. We caught the bird show next and then all met up again. It wasn't long before we split again to try and get to see all of the Australian animals before closing at 4.30pm. There was a great bit where you could walk through with an emu, kangaroos and wallabies. We just managed to squeeze in to see the reptiles before leaving. We met David, Adi and Hilly outside where they were heading back to the flat to get Hilly sorted for bed soon. We headed off for a drink, we went pretty close to Bondi as Ahmed was going to drop us off. We found a pub and the plan was to have one drink, Ahmed and Raheela both smoke so we managed to get sat outside right under a heater so we could sit together all the time. Raheela had offered to drive so Ahmed could have another beer. We ended up staying for about four drinks before leaving at about 9.30am. James and I got a pizza to take away and Raheela dropped us off at the hostel.
