We were up early ish today and packing our bags as we are staying in a hostel for the next two nights. Ahmed's friends are moving to Israel and had asked if they could stay with Ahmed a while ago. We got our things together for the day, we'll pick our big bags up later and got the bus into the city. We walked round part of the city called The Rocks. Ahmed had told us to find two pubs while we were there. One had a roof terrace where you could sit so we had a beer up there. We found the other but skipped the drink, we got some lunch from a market which was really good. We walked across the harbour bridge and got the ferry back seen as we have tickets. The sun was very low in the sky which made the sky a gorgeous colour and there was a rainbow over the opera house. Also a bright orange sky over the harbour bridge, this made for amazing photographs. We went for a coffee before heading back to the flat. When we got there Ahmed and Raheela were back from work already and their friends David and Adi and their two year old daughter Hilly had arrived. They were really lovely people, we showed them the photograph of the opera house and the rainbow, everyone was amazed and said they live here and have never seen anything like it. We stayed at Ahmed's chatting, having a drink and ordered out for pizza later on. All chatting and sat around the living room which meant using the blow up bed as a sofa suddenly we could hear air coming out of it. A cupboard handle had caught it and made a hole, we got our gaffa tape out and they tried to fix it, fingers crossed it holds up. We ordered a taxi at 11.15pm ish as the last check in for our hostel was midnight so we had to get on our way. The taxi driver completely overcharged us and was really rude, we didn't end up paying the whole fare and he knew he was wrong because he was fine with that. We got checked in and went to bed, the place seems ok.
