Ahmed and Raheela both left for work by 7.30am, Raheela had showed me yesterday how to use their washing machine and the dryer so we got a couple of loads done. We got showers then headed into the city around 11.00am. We got the bus into the city and got there just before midday. Ahmed had said if we were around the front of his building to let him know and he'd try to come for coffee. He came and met us, we sat outside the opera house having coffee and got a few photographs while we spoke to Ahmed. He went back to work and we walked around the outside of the opera house to get closer look. The weather was beautiful, really warm today. After the opera house we headed for the ferry point. We are hoping to go to Manly this afternoon to have a look around. We have to wait 20 minutes for the next ferry. Our tickets we'd bought this morning for the bus were for the ferries as well and we have the use of them for seven days, which we think we'll get loads of use out of. We got on a huge ferry and were told the trip takes around half an hour to get there. Ahmed had said the trip over was worth it if only for the views of the city on the way out and back into the harbour. The views were amazing of the bridge, opera house and the skyscrapers. Manly was really easy to navigate and was a beautiful place to hang out. We walked round a little and managed to find a few souvenirs for home then headed back to the ferry. It had started to get dark so we should get a whole new look at the city on the way back, it was really cold though. We got the bus back to the flat and headed straight out. Ahmed and Raheela were babysitting for Ahmed's brother Tarek tonight so we said we'd join them. We had some tea, chatted and played with Sam their little boy. James and Ahmed played charades which was hilarious. Tarek and his wife Fiona came back a little tipsy and they'd had a good night. We all left as it was getting late and we pretty much went to bed when we got in.
