Our last two days in Cape Town have been the most relaxing but still enjoyable. Yesterday we went to see Aunty Pam (my great aunt) in Durbanville, and Gertie the GPS did a great job navigating us through the 45 minute drive. We spent the day chatting, eating and driving around on the school run and also a short country tour. We briefly met Douglas and Bradley (my mother's cousins) and Bradley's two sons, Jarred and Connor.
Today it rained in Cape Town for the first time during our stay. Cape Town's rainy season is the winter, and we've been told several times how lucky we've been with the weather. Long may it last! We also got some cool photos of our house in the Christchurch snow from the Raneys (thanks!) which made us a wee bit jealous but we can't be too greedy hey
Otherwise we did the necessary packing today and said goodbye to Nico and Jolandi. Thanks for having us to stay - we had a lovely time.
We hope all of our friends and family in Christchurch are enjoying the snow and managing to stay safe and warm
