Yay - we've finally arrived! It has been a rather long day of flights, waiting in queues and waiting at airports. We flew Cape Town to Jo'burg, Jo'burg to London Heathrow then after a 6 or so hour wait on to Dublin. Anyhow, despite a crazy bus driver talking non-stop on his cellphone and at one point using his remaining hand to scratch, we are now here
Danielle will be pleased to know we both have cankles / fat feet at the moment! We slept on and off for a few hours instead of getting up and walking around like last time so are suffering the consequences.
After checking into our hostel, which is a converted wine cellar, we had a shower to freshen up then went for a wander along the Liffey River. I must say that it was very nice to go for a walk and not once be asked for money or to buy their wares. We bought a digital SLR magazine while waiting at London airport so have been playing around with some of the techniques they explained. Every time I think I'm beginning to understand the camera I'm reminded how little I know. Guess I really should get on to reading the 400 page manual.
An early night tonight I would say and then we have a busy day of sightseeing in Dublin planned for tomorrow.
Would love to hear back from you guys about how life is back in NZ (or wherever you are)
Is there still snow?

Monique Yah - next stop on your adventures. All the snow has pretty much gone - except in the shady spots in CHCH. Our house is getting bricked at the mom - will put photos on FB tonight.
Dad B Glad you got there safely. As you can see from my fb page there was plenty of snow at school and when I was there Thursday morning it was still very white. I am hoping that it has gone as I don't want all the kids there on Monday skating, falling and breaking bones. Anyway, be good. Love Dad
