On Sunday, after the busyness of the last few days we had a lazy morning. Angus and Lauren taught us a new card game called Tichu which is a lot like scum but with some weird poker-like add-ons. Even the rule book says "Tichu cannot be explained" so I won't go much further in my explanation here! The result was a win for the Kiwis much to the South Africans' disappointment as they have yet to win against anyone they have taught!
Chris had organised a braai for lunch and invited some other university friends who I hadn't yet seen. We had a fun time despite the weather being a bit cold and windy (it is mid-winter after all).
After that it was time to pack up and say goodbye to Angus and Lauren. We had such a fantastic time with you. Thank you so much for having us and showing us around :)
We headed to Nico and Jolandi's house where we will be staying until we leave Cape Town. We got to meet their cute 10 month old daughter, Hannah. We had another game of Settlers of Catan which Jolandi won. I think I've figured it out - the New Zealanders are not as good at land grabbing as those in Africa :)
