Nothing particularly exciting to report today as it was mostly a train day. We left Copenhagen at 11.44 bound for Hamburg having specifically chosen this train as it goes onto the ferry to cross to Germany. In first class we did get a voucher for a complimentary drink & chocolate which was a nice touch. A few hours down from Copenhagen and the four carriage train slowly rolled onto the ferry where we got off to spend the 45 mins journey looking in the shops & at the approaching German coastline with its many wind turbines. Back on the train we rolled off the ferry and onto Hamburg about an hour & a half away. In Hamburg it was a quick change to the Berlin train for the final two hours. Arriving into Berlin HBF we took the S-Bahn to Alexanderplatz where its was a longer than expected walk to the Ibis. Being dinner time we wandered down the road to a German restaurant where I tried the Berlin meatballs (of course it came with potato) & Sean had a Mediterranean schnitzel washed down with a dunkel each. There wasn't much around the area so we headed back to the hotel for the night.
