Up early out on the boat, it was very choppy to start and I could barely stand up, but it got much calmer as we left the crosswinds.....it was very nippy and we aren't exactly dressed for being cold.....but I soon forgot my shivers when the whales started to appear...there was a group ahead and the boat got very close , engines off and we just floated so close...tom says I was like an excited child.....this was a small boat and I even forgot my fear of water and was soon slithering along a thin rail to get to the front of this boat....I'm glad we chose a small tour as there were on,y about fifteen of us and it was pretty darn amazing fir me....the whales turned over, they flapped their fins...their heads came out of the water..barnacles in their chins.....and then they flipped their tails skywards.....two hours of mainly floating along with this huge beings.....I ve a feeling this will be the highlight of my whole trip.....bever seen whales before like this .......so yes I was that excited kid!!
So whale watching finished our time in Busselton......next day we were leaving the lodge and off south thru thick Bush land to Augusta.......
