Guess you'd sum up Wonnerup as hardship, tradgedy and persistence.... They had a tiny extension to the house to hold a schoolmistress to teach their eleven kids....they had rules she had to live by, one was no men....no marriage, in bed by 8......

Wonnerup House....built by George Layman, one if the first WA settlers....speared by a native aged thirty three.....his wife married again....her second husband drowned and the same year the first house burnt down, then this was built.......fascinating amble around .....
