Early start to make sure we made it to the 5k park run at the Conwy RSPB reserve. The route was great as had stunning views of Conwy Castle and the estuary. Due to it being so wet and cold we decided to treat ourselves to a bacon butty in the RSPB café after - well deserved!
I spent the rest of the day showing the children where I grew up. Old house, primary school, high school, promenade and all the other delights Colwyn Bay has to offer. After lunch at the Queens Head we headed over to Llandudno, up the Great Orme and finished off with ice cream at Forte's.
A good day out and I thoroughly enjoyed showing the children places from my childhood. I think the children enjoyed it too - although I did see Tracy nod off every so often in the car!!
