Back on the road first thing this morning to drive to Pont du Gard. It was so lovely to wake to blue skies and sunshine this morning and we were all looking forward to a fun day in the sun.

As it was still chilly when we first arrived we headed to the information centre and then spent much longer than planned looking at the great exhibitions and playing in the interactive children's area. We eventually headed back outside to enjoy the warmth, the beautiful views and the spring flowers.

Then after lunch, the MAIN EVENT - we headed for the aquaduct with a small group to actually walk through the pipe/tunnel on the third level where the water used to flow - what fun! Having seen the aquaduct in Segovia it was great to be able to get inside this one and see the limescale build-up over the centuries!!

We then headed down to the beach and M&D paddled and practised their stone-skimming skills whilst we sat in the sun and watched. A great first day in Provence.
