This has been quite a rare sight over the last few weeks. Strong winds and big swells mean there have been more non diving days than diving. Still we´ve been making good use of time out of the water... speed scrabble and barball are the competative games of choice....A trip to Chetumal provided a bit of culture and there are always the "exagerado" baguettes in Aroma when it all gets bit too much. On a positive not I´ve passed all my exams and had a few practice sessions and am now ready to start monitoring as soon as the weather clears.

I´ve also discovered that I really enjoy teaching english and am thinking of going on and getting my TEFL qualification - best not let on to my mum just yet..

This is the end of the first phase and there are a lot of mixed emotions as almost half the group I´ve been living and working with head off to new adventures or back tot he real world and jobs etc. But as they´re heading off we all get a nice long weekend in the bustling metropolis that is playa... watch out!
