Enjoying the luxury of a hotel rather than a tent. Hoping to cram lots of the sights into the next 3 days.

I use a bit of energy yesterday on a 25Km hike up into the mountains. We had to start at 6 to avoid the worst of the heat but it was still well into the 30s by the time we's swum at the waterfall and were eady to start headiing back down. A few days more of lazing on the beach before I head for Vic foalls and some seriosly scary rafting.

this is pretty much the view I woke up to this morning. We're staying right on the beach with the whitest sand and bluest water I've ever seen. Spent the whole day snorkelling today so I've gotten a bit sunburnt but I'm sure a few cocktails will ease the pain

Just spent 2 amasing days on Safari in the Masi Mara. I'd never have believed we'd be able to get so close to the animals. So far i've ticked off quite a few in my "eye-spy" book ; Elephants, zebra, buffalo; Wildebeast, hippo, Giraffe, warthog, jackel, hyena.... The guys on the tpour all seem really nice too. Mostly Aussies and Kiwis on the way back home after a few years workin in London.

settling in nicely and getting used to running on African time. I head out tomorrow morning for the Masi Mara and hopfully my first sightings of some animals in the wild.
