Just got back to the city for a few days rest before flying on the New Zealand. Easter Island was amazing, everyone should try and get there. The pace of life is so laidback that I often struggled to haul myself out the hammock and go and see the sights. But I did the tourist thing in the end and have loads of photos of the big guys.

Well not quite here yet so i'm fibbing a bit, I fly out first thing tomorrow morning. I'm in Santiago at the moment not doing much more than snoozing, had a very delayed flight down from Quito so I was up all last nightand not in a fun way. Cant wait to get out to Easter Island and see if its as remote and desolate as I've always imagined.

This was me this morning, it's quite different to snowboarding and really hard to get moving. Couldnt get up enought speed to turn so it was a caseof hiking up the the top of the sand dune, strapping on a board and then sliding straight back down the hill. I'm going to cycle out to the salt flats this afternoon when it gets a bit cooler to watch the sunset, then tomorów we'll be crossing into Bolivia and heading high up inot the Altaplano. After 3 hectic days in Santiago ivé travelled up the coast to La Serena for a bit of quiet time. Tomorrow i'll be heading out into the desert and hopefully trying a bit of sandboarding.

I'm in Pucon with a big volcano to clinb and it'sso rainy Bristol seems like a desert. Went white water rafting yesterday and had an amazing time, cant wait to try it again.
