Day 7 - 46miles , Bay Center to Fort Stevens State Park. Foggy, very cool.
Thank you to all my family and friends for your encouraging words, they mean a lot and help get me through the days.
We left early in fog - saw our first deer. Followed the 101, #4, 104- great highways and wide shoulders. Our first stop was mile 20 at a really small retro cafe called the "Rocket Diner", cheap and great food and good service, also loved the decor. Quickly got to the famous Astoria Bridge, 4 1/2 miles long....we did it, not so bad. There must be a fish run....so many fishing boats around mouth of the mighty Columbia River. Then a short scenic ride through, two small communities to Fort Stevens hike/bike camp.....$12.00 for two tents!
Picked up dinner at Fred Meyer's.
Still lots of time to hit Internet cafe back up highway.
