It took about 4 hours to reach KL by public bus from the Cameron Highlands, followed by a 10 minute walk through China town to reach our hotel. After a brief orientation walk a few of us headed straight for the Reggae Bar for lunch and a couple of drinks.
I went and explored Central Market and treated myself to a fish pedicure. I presumed the fish would be the size of the ones at home but when I looked in the tank they were massive. As soon as you put your feet above the water they are all there waiting for you to put your feet in the water. After all the walking I had done my feet needed it and felt lovely after, although it really tickled!
After exploring the night market in China Town we headed back to the Reggae Bar for a few drinks. On the way back to the hotel we stopped for some street food - a lemon and sugar pancake!
The following day we were up early so we could head to the Petronas Towers. After queing for over an hour we finally got a ticket for later on that day. We then walked to the KL Tower and went up to the observation deck of the KL Tower for views across the whole city. From here we got a taxi to Berjaya Times Square (Malaysia's biggest shopping mall). I have never seen anywhere like it, it was so big and even had 3 seperate cinemas in it and a themepark, which included the worlds largest indoor roller coaster. We ended up going for pizza before having a little look round the shops.
After spending some chill out time back at the hotel Deb, Kelly-Anne and I caught the metro to the Pertronas Towers for our tour. We were taken up in a lift to the 86th floor, to the observation tower right at the top. After spending some time here we were taken down in the lift to the 40 something floor, to the bridge between the towers, for more amazing views over the city. After this we headed to the Sky Bar at the Traders Hotel to meet the rest of our group. Our tour leader hadmade reservations so that we had a booth which overlooked the Pertronas Towers, so that we could watch the sun set behind the towers. The bar was lovely and we treated ourselves and had a few champagne cocktails, which kinda blew the budget a bit. A great night though and a fab way to endour time in KL.
