Captains log 13/07/13 ok, so Bella and I haven't been the most organized of travelers. We have kinda winged it though most of our journeys and today was no exception. We're off to go to London! Oh wait, the euro star is 250 euros each, catching a plane is the same or more and sky scanner isn't doing it for us. Ok what to do, what to do. "We" I say, we because both Bella and I claim it was our own idea, decide to go to Munich! It's not too far away, we enjoyed it there plus we would have more time to organize ourselves and get to the uk. Boom! Like clock work Bella is up at 7 and poking me out of bed to go book our tickets. Surprisingly even at this time the Rome train station is all guns blazing. We line up for a while and finally our number is called. The guy at the counter isn't very helpful by soon enough we have our tickets and are all set. Ok 2 hours to find a hotel in Munich on a Saturday night! This was kind of tricky, we looked around and most places were fully booked so we had to spend a little more for a nicer hotel. The art hotel. Sounds ok. We set off, saying our goodbyes to the girls :( ill see you soon Lara :)! And get on the train. It was then that we realize the guy in Rome gave us two seats not next to each other. Great. This was the first train that frustrated me. We winged it and sat next to each other anyway and thought we would just move once someone came with a ticket. However the train was very busy and everyone had so much baggage our gigantic suitcases had to sit in the lane way blocking everyone's path. Oh well. We got almost the whole 4 hours before someone came and we had to move, but again we found 2 seats opperset to each other. We got off our stop in some random town on the boarder of Italy and German, it was a touch random but who cares, we went into a truck stop like diner and had a slice of pizza and waited out our hour stop over. Soon enough it was time to board and we got on our train. German trains are funny, they don't have cabin numbers like 1/2/3 but 250/251/252 confused and worried we would miss it, we just jumped on.... Great. 4 cabins away, this was a long painful carry between all sorts of people that wouldn't move out of our way, slight annoying. Oh well we found our seats. There was a couple of old Austrian ladies sitting in them, and a group of young American boys in the cabin. I felt bad about kicking the old ladies of our seat but we paid for them and they hadn't, but they were nice ladies and sat on temp seats in the lane way chatting away. Bella and I both felt better when the seats in the cabin next door become free and they got them. A few hours went by and we started talking to the American boys. All very nice, only 20, so Europe is a different world for them. We had a good chat and soon enough we were in Munich osl! As our ticket said. But Bella and I had booked the hotel near Munich central. Hmmm the problem of not knowing if your train goes there or not. I tried to ask a train employee but his English was very poor and I got no answer. We thought we would just wing it and hope. After a few nervous moments the announcement came over that we were stopping at Munich central! Yay. The hotel was very close to the station, and it seemed so very nice! We settled in, and we were extremely excited to have a good looking shower! After an hour or so of lounging about we decided to go for a walk and get some dinner. We found a nice little Thai place a few shops down and had take out from there. They had Japanese Kirens! No English label! That was cool :D! We had a coconut cream and prawn soup, 2 prawn rice paper rolls, crispy duck in hoi sin sauce and fried rice. It was soooo good. However we keep ordering to much. Oh well we needed a good meal. We watched some strange crocodile movie in German but it was funny and soon enough hit the hay! Relaxing tomorrow! Ashes day 5 :I!!
Ps. Bella found Hedwig in a toy shop:P
