Becky Bravo's Adventures
Today was an awesome day. We slept in, as much as we could. We left our sliding door open so we could hear the waves as we slept, but did not close the blinds. So the blinding morning light woke us up, but it was no problem. We went down for breakfast, and we signed up to hear a presentation about becoming a member of the resort. It was basically like a timeshare presentation, which we knew, but if we sat through it, we got $125 in resort credit, so in the end it was worth it. And no, we did not buy anything. ;) However we were able to use that money to go towards another excursion, so tomorrow we are going on an ATV tour. With our credit, it ended up only being $32 each to do that, so even better!
After breakfast, we hung out in the pool, hung out at the beach, had some drinks, and relaxed in the sun. It has been in the 80s and 90s the whole time we have been here.
At 2pm, we had our massage appointment, so we headed to the spa. What treatment! The spa was super fancy. The room the massage was in was indoors, but it was set up to look like it was outside. Thankfully it was inside because it was so hot outside, I don't think the massage would have been comfortable. We got to enjoy relaxation time in the common area of the spa before and after the service. The spa services here are very expensive so we were thankful to have that included as part of our package.
For lunch, we tried one of the fancier restaurants that had a seafood menu. It is so awesome for me, because all the restaurants have a vegetarian menu, and/or everything is marked vegetarian. So it has been very easy for me to eat. And the food has been amazing on top of that! We both got ceviche for an appetizer, but of course a vegetarian one for me. It was basically chopped fruit, but with awesome lime flavor and juice. They served it with banana chips, and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Jaime got Mahi Mahi, and I got a veggie wrap. I am only going into so much detail with the food, because it was so delicious, and so awesome and fun that we do not have to carry a wallet around or worry about paying for anything, since this is all-inclusive. We then hung out by the pool some more, and they even had some live music for us to enjoy. Very awesome.
To top off our relaxing day, we went down to the beach for a guided meditation. With the massage earlier, pool time, and the sound of the waves during our meditation, it was a great way to end the day.
So, tonight at dinner, thanks to me, I got our reservations mixed up, and thought we were to be at the Asian restaurant at the Hibachi table at 8pm. It was at 7:30pm, so we missed it. But it worked out because we ate at the Italian restaurant, and it was just as delicious as all our other meals. I got a mushroom risotto and Jaime had some steak thing.
There was more live music going on at one of the outdoor bars, so after dinner we went over there and danced the night away with the other guests. Once that closed down, inside of the amphitheater, they had a DJ and even more dancing. We definitely got our exercise in today. It was a fantastic evening, and a much needed relaxing day. More adventure tomorrow.
