I will be in Santiago tomorrow about noon. My 800 km amazing journey will end. Very hard to put in words how I feel. I am elated that I have accomplished this walk yet not sure how to handle the end. Walking every day, many in solitude, for 5 weeks is such a different life. I am physically and mentally in a very good place. Today we walked from O'Cebreiro from an elevation of 1330 to 670 meters. In Carion for the night staying in an Augustinian parish turned albergue run by the nuns. Santa Maria. Now you all know I am not Catholic. Vespers at 5.30, singing nuns at 6, prepare communal dinner at 7, mass at 8 and dinner at 9. I am immersed in the entire Camino experience, as you can see.
