Day 3
We woke up bright and early for our first day in Israel and decided to head for the beach. After getting our bearings right we walked for what seemed like hours an eventually made it to dizengoff and met Gav.
After grabbing a quick bite we finally made it to the beach... The walk was definitely worth it. We swam, we tanned and we played Wababa. This completely made up for the lack of Australian summer.
When we realized we could only stay on the beach so long without getting a drink, we headed into town, hunting for anything resembling a boost smoothie. After walking for ages we finally found one right by the Carmel markets and couldn't resist going into the markets for a look.
We returned to the beach for yet another swim staying until about 6:00. Once we decided to head home we were sidetracked by the prospect of Kosher Maccas and of course had to step inside. Being befriended by the cashier forced us to buy a meal each but by the time we had finished we had to head home.
Eventually making our way back to the apartment we surveyed the damage from the day. Burns in all the places we missed with suncream and blisters all over our feet from our sandals showed us how long of a day we had had.
But there was no stopping us yet. Within 30 minutes we were showered, dressed and out the door. On to the train we went for the Ta'am hair (Taste of the City) which was absolutely packed with people. After managing to grab a bite, almost con a pizza man out of a bit of money and grab a couple of Max Brenner syringes, we had a walk around and then headed home for the night.
