Today was another early start so we could tightly pack the cars and drop Cam's car off to get fixed and he jumped in our car and we headed north to Middle Lagoon. It was only about 200kms to travel but the road was unsealed and corrugated with big dips and rises which made it pretty unpleasant. When we arrived in Middle Lagoon, which is a remote beach paradise, we found out that people were already staying in the cabin we had booked and they had gone out fishing and who knew what time they'd be back which was extremely annoying. We drove about ten kms back up the road to go to a community cafe for lunch, then came back to the park and waited for these people to return. The staff member said that a smaller cabin was available so they would ask the people in ours to move across to the smaller one so our big group could all fit in the big cabin, however after about 6hrs of waiting the couple finally returned, and claimed they had the room booked for the night as it was the woman's birthday. They refused to move which was pretty crap seeing as we were 7 plus a baby, it really wouldn't have taken much for them to move next door. So we ended up in the smaller cabin and setting up the camper trailer and a swag so we could all have somewhere to sleep. After unpacking we watched yet another stunning sunset then cooked a BBQ dinner which was preluded by some hand cut tuna and snapper sashimi that Hiromi scored of a fisherman who had caught 3 large tuna, and she prepared it and served it with soy, yummo! After dinner we played a few rounds of UNO then I crashed.
