Today we sadly left Middle Lagoon and took the horrid drive on the shocking dirt road back to Broome where Cam picked up his car and we grabbed a few essentials before heading to Port Hedland. We made it about 4pm where we checked into the dodgy pub/motel where we were staying. The rooms were pretty scummy and a rip off at $300 but as Port Hedland is a mining town, all the accommodation is really expensive. Coincidentally Trevor's work had just relocated to Port Hedland two days prior so he was there to meet us! He took us to the airport and onto the airstrip so we could sit in his plane and have a play around which was cool. We came back to the pub and watched the footy and had dinner which was actually pretty good, then hung out with Trev and one of his First Officers before going off to sleep to the sound of music pumping in the bar.
